Kendra Bassett

Graduate Researcher

Background

As a graduate researcher for the InEFE, she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Education Leadership from Tennessee State University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Middle Tennessee State University, a Master of Education degree, and a certification in Special Education from Lipscomb University, both located in her home state of Tennessee.

 

Kendra specializes in school administration and school culture, particularly in working with special populations. She is a disabled veteran who transitioned to education from a customer service and financial planning career. Throughout her educational journey, Kendra has worked as a teacher in multiple subjects, an academic coach, a dean of students, and a high school principal.

 

Kendra is passionate about ensuring equitable access to quality education for all students, regardless of their background, and creating learning environments that are reflective of and celebrate their unique identities.
